Media expert Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos. Colman Domingo’s first major TV role. Coleman Domingo is becoming my favorite actor. He really can make reading a phone book into a compelling story. And that’s about as compelling as The Madness is right now. The dialogue is embarrassingly bad. They try so hard to be engaging and helpful, but they come across as very predictable and trite. There’s a lot about the story that defies even the most basic common sense from the start. I’m constantly asking myself ‘why why why?!’ So much so that after episode 2 I skipped episode 7 to see what happens at the end. I have little doubt that the episodes I skipped are little more than a lot of overwrought story and redundant dialogue.
